Filmic releases DoubleTake multi-camera app


The anticipated multi-camera app from Filmic was released today. The app was first previewed at Apple's fall media event showcasing multi-camera support in iOS 13 and iPhone 11 hardware capabilities.

DoubleTake allows you to simultaneously use multiple iPhone cameras at once, including the front-facing camera. The app features multiple modes, such as an interview-style where an interviewer with a front-facing camera and interviewee with the back-facing camera. Usually, this setup requires two separate cameras but can be captured at once. Another option is to use multiple rear cameras, for example, a wide and telephoto camera.

Mult-cam video is restricted to the iPhone 11 Pro Max, 11 Pro, 11, Xs Max, Xs, and Xr. Other iPhone models can install the app, but won't be limited to a single camera.
