Apple event planned this month?


The rumors of a date are starting. March 24th may be the day for an upcoming "Apple Event." At a similar event in November, Apple refreshed its laptop hardware. Expected at the event are new desktop gear.

The iMac has been pending for weeks, making it a likely upgrade. Also, Mac Pro desktops are also expected to see an upgrade, presumably once Intel releases new chips. The Nehalem-based Xeon chips are widely expected to see duty in the next Mac Pro. Those chips are expected by the end of the month. The Mini may also see an update. Photos have been popping showing port configurations yet unseen.
