MacBooks to gain 3G networking?

While browsing the want ads, ComputerWorld notes Apple is looking for some mad 3G skillz
The job posting indicates Apple is looking for some 3G talent in its Mac Hardware Group. The job posting is for a QA engineer to various networking technologies, including 3G. This would seem to indicate our favorite fruit company is working on beefing up its 3G specs. Being in the Mac group, should tell us we're not talking about an iPhone, and probably not a rumored tablet-uber iPhone/iPod, which would likely also not be in the Mac group.
One guess would be a built-in 3G radio, most likely for portable devices. Such an add-on would allow customers to add wireless data services directly to the computer, rather than purchasing an external USB or card modem. Perhaps added to all laptops, or perhaps Apple's version of a netbook?
Another guess, however, may be less fantastical. Mac OS generally supports most external modems natively. For example, we can connect our Sprint card directly to the mobile network via the Network control panel, rather than using the vendors software. This could simply be support for such devices, but at the same time, such a task would probably be over on the OS group.
Evidence points to 3G radios in MacBooks, Tablets?
