iPad production may be fine after all, launch date rumored

Monday kicked off with a red flag on iPad production. A financial analyst, citing unspecified production problems, earlier this week indicated we may see anticipated March iPad shipments cut by two-thirds, or even the launch pushed back a month into April.

Today, Digitimes is reporting on component suppliers saying all is well. As expected, no word from Apple or Hon Hai Precision, the iPad builder. Apparently, however, the various component suppliers are chirping to the Asian rumors rag that things on their end are on schedule.

In other iPad shipping rumors, the examiner.com is saying we may see the iPad launch on March 26th. Not citing any sources, but calling it "very likely" the 26th is an obvious date considering Apple's history of launching on Fridays, and that being the last Friday of the month. We said so already this week, so not sure this is really noteworthy, but we'll tack it on with the latest production rumor. Likely we'll be hearing about the launch date in the next week or two.

The Examiner did offer up some more rumors saying we may see advertising showing up starting March 15th. Also Apple retail employees may get their hands on the iPad for training starting March 10th.
