iTunes to get Facebook Connect?

Rumors suggest Facebook users may get additional ties to iTunes.
TechCrunch is reporting that Apple may expand their Facebook presence. (iTunes To Integrate Facebook Connect) Currently Facebook users can share song info, but with the addition of Facebook Connect support, the link between the iTunes Store and the social networking site could become more substantial.
Facebook connect essentially allows developers such as Apple to integrate features and authentication with Facebook. It's unclear exactly what Apple may do, however. It could be as simple as sharing recent purchases as TechCrunch suggests, or could go deeper with greater access to iTunes with Facebook authentication. Perhaps iTunes will incorporate reviews/ratings from Facebook users, although its unlikely Apple would go so far to give up control as point of purchase for iTunes media.
Apple has been making efforts to incorporate social media features such as Flickr, Twitter, and Facebook into its software. Until the past couple years, the company seemed to favor exclusive use of its own software and services such as MobileMe, and generally itself kept a low profile.
