For anyone who wants one, Apple is now selling Mac OS X Lion on a USB thumb drive. The $69 USB stick contains the OS X Lion install for those who wish not to download the whole deal over the Internet.
OS X Lion is available on a USB thumb drive for installation without the need for a broadband Internet connection. Just plug the drive into your USB port and follow the instructions to install. OS X Lion is also available for a lower price as a digital download from the Mac App Store.
In the fine print, Apple seems indicate users will need to have at least OS X 10.6/Snow Leopard installed on the system.
The OS X Lion Software License Agreement allows you to install and use the software for your personal, non-commercial use on all the Macs you own or control that are running Mac OS X Snow Leopard or Snow Leopard Server (a Mac Computer).
