Active MobileMe subscribers can request a free copy of Snow Leopard using an online form. Apple is retailing a copy of Snow Leopard for $29. A nice move considering subscribers paid $99 for a service that has been largely obsoleted by the free iCloud. Procrastination, it seems, does have some benefits.
Once installed, users will need to fire up the Mac App Store and buy a copy of OS X Lion, which is required for iCloud.
