Newer Technology announces Mac Mini headless video accelerator

Newer Technology's HDMI Headless Video Accelerator is now available for Apple's Mac Mini. The small HDMI adapter serves a simple task of activating the Mac Mini's built-in graphics processing unit when no display is attached.

If nothing is attached to the Mac Mini, the GPU is inactive. If you're using the Mac Mini as a server, network storage device, or media tank, for example, performance will lag when connecting via the network. When the HDMI Headless Video Accelerator is plugged in, the the built-in becomes GPU available and the computer can be fully utilized.

The HDMI Headless Video Accelerator is available now for $19.50.
