Quanta tapped for iPhone nano
July 24th 2007
CENS reports that Quanta has acquired the contract to assemble new model iPhones. Another report running in the Economic Daily News, picked up by Macworld UK, also states that Quanta has been picked to assemble iPhones.
Neither write up cites sources, but both news outlets are regarded as reputable.
CENS also claims that related contracts for PCB manufacture have also been let and that final product is expected to ship in Q4.
IGM first posited the appearance of the iPhone nano back on Jan 18 of this year.
Foxconn assembles current-gen iPhones.
Editor's note: Again, the iPhone nano is positioned for a Q4 release and not September as has been said. The competition still won't be ready...
