iTunes rulez

Billboard reports that 70 percent of teens download music every month, which comes as no big surprise. However, new NPD data states that, of those, 49 percent use iTunes, while another 26 percent use Limewire. MySpace was listed as the third most popular site for sharing music, at 16 percent.
"Findings in this report suggest that the industry can still do more to promote specific ways children can obtain digital music legally, through pre-paid accounts and gift cards," said NPD analyst Russ Crupnick.
Recently, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) admitted it lied "over estimated" when it said that it grossly inflated movie piracy prevalence among college students.
Also of note is an ongoing effort by the RIAA to increase per album fines to $1.5 million.
Editor's note: The MPAA and RIAA are out-of-control. They need to be reigned with great prejudice. Perhaps they should be assessed $1.5 million for each John Doe named in one of their lawsuits without any supporting evidence...
