OS X 10.5.3: 'Very soon'
March 10th 2008
In an autobiographical post from Adam Fisher-Cox, AppleTell reports that OS X 10.5.3 Update should be arriving any day now, though to date there's no indication of what'll be inside.
I had called Apple about my MacBook Pro ... Then the Apple rep said, "the update should be coming out very soon." I asked what that meant, a few months? A few weeks? A few days? His response: "I'm surprised it's not out yet."
This is all very nice. However, generally speaking, OS X updates are presaged by dozens of posts over the course of some weeks on MacRumors, AppleInsider, etc that spell out in detail what's fixed and what's new.
To date, we've yet to see post one regarding OS X 10.5.3.
Also, on the whole, folks seem pretty satisfied with the current version--goodness knows I'm happier than a pig in... never mind.
Of course, this doesn't mean OS X 10.5.3 won't appear tomorrow, but it doesn't seem all that likely...
What's your take?
