PsyStar: One red flag after another

By now, we all now that PsyStar purportedly of Miami has changed its address multiple times in recent days. Gizmodo, among others, has attempted to track down the company, but to no avail.

Today, a new twist has emerged in this ongoing saga--PsyStar has stopped taking orders:

Thank you for visiting Psystar. We're sorry but the store is temporarily down due to the fact that we are currently unable to process any credit card transactions [emphasis added]. Please send an e-mail to support@psystar.com with the subject line "UPDATE" so that we can update you when the store comes back online. For customers who have already placed orders: if you received a confirmation e-mail then your item is in queue to be built and shipped.

Unable to process credit card transactions? That's a major red flag.

Neither the Miami Chamber of Commerce nor the local branch of the Better Business Bureau have heard of PsyStar. Flying under these two organizations radar isn't a crime, but doesn't inspire confidence either.

Also, it's worth asking why PsyStar would want to change its address from one bogus address (Giz) to another?

At least one answer to the question is this--The best way to avoid getting served (ie court documents) is to avoid being found. It's also a good way, at least temporarily, to avoid getting arrested.

Has anyone checked outstanding warrants in Miami for these clowns?
