Apple has released OS X 10.5.3, a long-awaited Leopard update that many MacBook Pro, musicians and a host of others hope will solve a litany of outstanding issues.

The 10.5.3 Update is recommended for all users running Mac OS X Leopard and includes general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac.

Previously, IGM and a host of others reported that OS X 10.5.3 included fixes for over 200 issues. Today, Macword writes that this update patches 70 issues.

The Mac OS X Server 10.5.3 update includes general operating system fixes, as well as specific fixes and is recommended all servers running Leopard Server.

Editor's note: I definitely will be installing the Combo as doing so is oft cited as providing better performance.
Many people have been waiting for this update and it's perhaps the most important Leopard patch to date.
