Microsoft ships Silverlight 2
October 20th 2008
Microsoft has announced that it's now shipping Silverlight 2, the company's answer to Adobe Flash.
New and / or improved features include:
• WPF UI Framework
• A rich set of built-in controls
• Rich networking support
• .NET base class library
• Built-in video codecs
There's also this webpage. It's bears mentioning that PPC Macs apparently aren't supported.
Editor's note: Apple will continue to support PPC Mac at least until Snow Leopard ships. Shouldn't third-party vendors do the same?
