The mini's dead [again]!

The last time Apple paid any public attention to the Mac mini was about a year ago, when the sub-$1,000 headless desktop saw benefited from hard drive size increase and processor speed bump.
Since then there have been a range of rumors positing that the device would be discontinued, updated or even reborn as the Mac nano.
Today, we can add another chapter to the Mac mini's lore as Gizmodo reports that a pair of European resellers say they can't order more of Apple's smallest computer.

While this could signal an updated model coming in, they have been told by Apple to expect no more of it. Their impression is that--once again--the Mac Mini may be dead dead DEAD for real, even while you can still order it at the Apple Store.
Giz adds that the mini could be declared dead as early as today's Q4 fiscal results conference call (5pm EST).
That said, the mini's been declared dead variously and severally by the blogosphere more than a few times already. Although I'm definitely a fan--we've got two here at the Sharp household--it wouldn't surprise me if Apple did discontinue it.
The question is what if anything will follow in its steps...
