Apple adjusts iCloud storage tiers

Apple has scrapped its 1 TB storage tier and reduced pricing on the 2 TB option. The 2 TB option is now $9.99 per month, which was the price of the old 1 TB plan. The $2.99 per months 200 GB and $0.99 for 5 GB plans remain remains.

This is disappointing. I'd rather Apple make the 5 GB option the new free level and slide everything over so that 1 TB would be $3/mo, for example. It seems weird there's nothing between the 200 GB and 2 TB options. iCloud is a huge value-added service for Apple's ecosystem, I think they would be smart to get users fully taking advantage of the system.

In related info out of this week's WWDC, iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra will allow a single data bucket be shared in a family plan. This is much needed as we have multiple data fees per month, which is silly.
