Apple quarter report sees iPhones, iPads sag, Macs, services grow


Apple Tuesday reported its fiscal second quarter for 2017. The company reported that iPhone sales slipped to 50.8 million devices from 51.2 million. iPads also fell to 8.9 million compared to 10.3 million last year. Mac sales, however grew to 4.2 million computers compared to 4 million last year. Apple's services business, which includes the App Store and Apple Music, grew to $7.04 billion from $5.99 billion last year.

Overall, Apple say a 4.5-percent increase in revenue for $52.9 billion in sales. The company saw a net profit of $11 billion.
