Report: Apple considering media bundle

9 to 5 Mac relays a Financial Times report that Apple is trying to negotiate a bundle for its media subscriptions. The bundle would offer multiple services at one, presumably, less expensive rate. The report says Apple's plans have been met with mixed results.

Reported by the Financial Times, anonymous sources close to the matter say that Apple has been talking with the major music companies about a super-bundle. However, before pricing has even been brought up, some record labels are "growing more wary about [their] relationship with Apple."

This is one of these rumors that has common sense on its side, so it could go either way. It doesn't mean it will happen or that even it's true, but it gets traction because it makes a lot of sense. There seems to be a lot of benefits for Apple to offer bundles of services. Apple likely would attract additional subscriptions by enticing customers with discounts. At the very least, it would be nice to just get one charge a month from Apple for subscriptions.

Apple is currently offering media services for music, games, and magazines and newspapers. Additionally, Apple's TV service is gearing up to launch next month. There's no indication which services Apple may be looking to bundle together, but it would make sense to mix and match or offer an everything bundle. This is on top of monthly service for iCloud, which would also be nice to see in a media bundle.
